Eliminate Paper Chaos - Part 2 (Hands-On Workshop)
Workshop Description
This hands-on workshop will offer you the opportunity to create your own Daily Action Center(TM). A Daily Action Center is the location where you will store paper and other information that you access daily, if not several times a day.
The workshop will be faciliatated by Laura Leist and you will receive hands-on help from other Eliminate Chaos Specialists. You will have the opportunity to bring a stack of papers that you will create a Daily Action Center from and you will leave with the start of your new Daily Action Center where you will be able to quickly put your hands on information you need to access every day.
The guidance we will provide as to how you will create your Daily Action Center structure will be the key to your success in creating, implementing and maintaining this new system for your home or office. This is often the most difficult part of creating the system; defining the structure. With that in place, it will be easy for you to add to your system and then do the labeling; but this comes after the structure is created with our help.

What You Will Accomplish
1. You will define your structure of your Daily Action Center based on the papers and information you bring to the workshop.
2. You will have time to sort and edit the papers and information you bring and have the opportunity to ask questions of the Specialists and Laura about document retention guidelines.
3. Using hanging files and file folders you will begin to create your Daily Action Center and then you will be placing your information into these files.
4. A Daily Action Center with a structure designed for how you will best recall and use information - ready for you to use immediately.
What you Need to Bring to the Workshop
1. A 5-6 inch stack of papers, information, sticky notes, etc... that you need to put your hands on regularly. Once you have registered for class, we will provide you with a specific list of the types of information you may want to consider bringing.
2. A 3x3 pad of sticky notes - please ensure they are this size.
3. A label machine if you want to use it to label your file folders.
4. A Sharpie or other writing instruments.
3. A sense of humor - paper doesn't have to be boring - we are going to have fun!
Supplies You May Want to Purchase in Advance
1. 1 box of letter size hanging files in a color you love
2. 25-30 manialla file folders (2nd position or center cut)
3. A portable filing box or tote
Once you have registered for class we will send you a product recommendations document with specific resources and where to find them for purchase on your own.
If you do not want to purcahse these supplies in advance, you can purcahse them during the workshop.

2. Opportunity to purchase "Daily Action Center(TM)" supplies if you do not have time to shop before class or want to bring your own supplies.
3. There will be two shredders in the class room to shred unwanted, confidential information that you bring to the workshop, but do not intend to keep. Please do not bring boxes of papers to shred; our shredders are not desinged for this.
This class is not intended for Professional Organizers.
